Independent Study Opportunities
Join a multidisciplinary team building persistent, collaborative workspace
for student project groups. Undergraduate or graduate students are needed
to implement, test and reiterate on prototypes through the summer, and
beyond. Part time and full time positions, as well as independent studies,
are available. We are hiring for the following positions:
COMMUNICATION/
VISUAL DESIGNER:
We have two interesting projects. The first is to a redesign an interface
for a suite of collaborative tools. The challenge will be to achieve
visual clarity between its text-heavy components. The second is to find
a
GUI solution that benchmarks points in a process in an idea generation
and
organization application. Proficiency in HTML is a plus. This is a great
opportunity for a portfolio piece.
JAVA DEVELOPER:
We are developing an application that aids group idea generation and
organization. UI features and interaction need to be refined and expanded.
The developer will collaborate to design and develop a unique GUI for
a
document versioning utility that supports the application. In addition
to
being an experienced Java developer, candidates should be familiar with
Java TCP Sockets, Java AWT, and MVC.
WEB DEVELOPER:
Reiterate on code for an existing suite of collaborative tools as we test
their usability and refine the design. Work closely with team members
to
design and develop new components for the suite. Must be proficient in
PERL, Javascript, and MySQL and have some experience with the Apache web
server.

will have the opportunity to evolve work through
