ORACLE REPORTS The following reports in Oracle will be used for Financial Review. Please note in order to accommodate more users in the system to run reports, we have created copies of the Quarterly and future year budget report sets that are identical to the original. Any supplemental reports which are prepared by departments to be used for discussion in Financial Review should be reconciled to the data in Oracle. The financial review reports are all available in the Quarterly Report Set. Please review these as you are preparing your budgets to ensure the validity of your budgets. Quarterly Report Set: Includes reports for funding sources, general operating (general operating, general institutional), designated operating (designated operating, unrestricted endowment, temporarily restricted operating, and capital reserves), sponsored projects, auxiliary/recharge, and total operating. The following report sets are available (<SOB> is the Set of Books name - USA, AUS, QAR, INTL or GBL) <SOB> FY10 Budget Reports <SOB> FY11 Budget Reports <SOB>FY12 Budget Reports

TRAINING HANDOUTS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs) I downloaded the latest version of BDI but it doesn't work on my machine what should I do? First Exit out of the tool, open a blank Excel spreadsheet. Go to the Tools menu, select Add-Ins and make sure that Analysis Toolpak and Analysis Toolpak - VBA are checked. Also, make sure the Format and Standard Toolbars (under the Excel toolbar menu) are checked. Re-start the tool. If the tool still does not work delete the copy you have and download it again. If all else fails call the Oracle Help Desk and select the Budgets area. Can I charge Dependent Tuition Benefits to a Recharge Funding Source? In most cases the answer is No unless this funding source was defined (with your organization and account segments) to allow this type of expenditure (82108). If this expenditure is not allowed in your account segment structure then you will not include Dependent Tuition Benefit costs in charges billed to other campus organizations. Should Student Scholarships (75100) and/or Student Awards (75200) be budgeted as positive or (negative) amounts? These codes are actually contra-revenue accounts and have a normal negative balance. So, if you are budgeting $1200 of scholarship money to be paid out in a given month it would appear ($1200).
