Carnegie Mellon Finishes Fourth at Mack Cooper Invitational

Sept. 16 – (SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team traveled to Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, for the Mack Cooper Invitational at Cooper's Lake Campground Friday night. The team finished fourth out of six teams and were the only Division III team competing.
Junior
Emily Wobb (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine Richland) finished second overall in a time of 22:51 to pace the Tartans while sophomore
Elise Hall (Hillsboro, Mo./Hillsboro Senior) was seventh overall in 23:40.
Freshman
Hailey Brown (Wellsville, N.Y.) was the next Tartans' finisher and crossed the line in 24:58 for 24th place. Not far behind was sophomore
Catherine Paquette (Bethel, Ohio/Archbishop McNicholas) who finished 27th in 25:08.
Senior
Cassie Wallace (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) was the Tartans' fifth runner to cross the finish line, as she finished 35th overall in 25:35. Following Wallace was freshman
Halley Bayer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) in 43rd place (26:13) and junior
Eva Humphrey (Asheville, N.C.) in 44th place (26:15).
The Tartans will next run at Dickinson College on Saturday, September 24. The race is expected to begin at 11:15 a.m.
