Tartans Fall at Emory in Season Finale

Nov. 7 – (ATLANTA, Ga.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team finished its season with a 5-0 loss at Emory University on Saturday, November 7. The Tartans finish the year at 6-8-2 overall and 1-4-2 in the University Athletic Association. The Eagles move up 7-5-5 and 2-3-2.
The Eagles put two goals on the board in the first period while taking eight shots. The first goal was scored in the 25th minute by Melanie Levy as the second was scored in the 37th minute by Lauren Smith.
The Tartans got off five shots in the second half but couldn't get shot past Erica Stein as the Eagles padded their lead with three more tallies.
Levy put in her second goal of the game in the 75th minute while Merrill
Bachouros tallied a goal in the 86th minute. Hailey Morris scored the final goal at 89:23.
Sophomore Elsa Wu (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) put two shots on goal while senior Casey Garth (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) had one.
