Tartans Fall to Case 1-0

Oct. 30 – (CLEVELAND, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team fell on the road to Case Western Reserve University 1-0 on Friday night in Cleveland, Ohio. The Spartans extended their record to 9-5-2 and 3-2 in the University Athletic Association while the Tartans fell to 6-6-2 and 1-2-2.
The Tartans did outshoot the Spartans 9-7 with five shots on goal but sophomore keeper Anna Kennedy made all five saves including four in the first period.
The lone goal of the game came in the 63rd minute when Laura Gabster sent a free kick to the back of the net from 50-yards deep.

Becca Gold (Beverly Hills, Calif.) didn't face any other shots in goal for the Tartans.

Katie Davis (Glen Gardner, N.J./Voorhees) put two shots on goal while sophomore
Elsa Wu (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) and junior
Emily Overstreet (Camp Hill, Pa./Trinity) each had a shot on goal apiece.
The Tartans next game is set for Sunday afternoon in Rochester, N.Y., at 1:30 p.m.
