The meet was held at Lehigh University&#8217;s Goodman Campus. Haverford won the meet, finishing with 45 points, holding off Allegheny College&#8217;s 52. These two teams received automatic bids to the NCAA Division III National Championships. The #18 ranked Carnegie Mellon men&#8217;s cross country team raced to a second place finish out of eight teams on the eight kilometer course. Carnegie Mellon University took the title amongst a group of 23 teams with 31 points, beating out Duquesne University who finished with 56 points.]]></description></item><item><category>Men's Cross Country</category><title>Men&#8217;s Cross Country Takes 19th at Paul Short Invite - Sept. 28</title><link>http://www.cmu.edu/athletics/intercollegiate-sports/mens-teams/cross-country/news/2007/lehigh.html</link><description><![CDATA[The #14 ranked Carnegie Mellon men&#8217;s cross country team had their first real test of the 2007 season, racing at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University. The men had their top seven racing in the &#8220;Varsity A&#8221; race against stiff Division I and Division III competition and seven more competing in the &#8220;Junior Varsity&#8221; race against more Division I and Division III runners later in the afternoon. The Tartans placed 19th in the eight kilometer &#8220;Varsity A&#8221; race with 599 points. Villanova won the race with 50 points.]]></description></item></channel></rss>
