57 Carnegie Mellon Student Athletes Earn UAA Winter Academic Honor
Feb. 21 - (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – A total of 57 Carnegie Mellon University student-athletes were named to the University Athletic Association’s (UAA) All-Academic Recognition list for the winter sports teams, as announced recently.
All-Academic Recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.200. The winter academic honor roll includes 532 student-athletes representing teams participating in the five men’s sports and four women’s sports sponsored by the conference schools.
Among the 57 Carnegie Mellon student-athletes to earn the honor, one is from the women’s basketball team, four from the men’s basketball team, 13 from the women’s swimming and diving team, ten from the men’s swimming and diving teams, ten from the women’s indoor track and field team and 19 from the men’s track and field team.
