Pittsburgh Steeler Charlie Batch to Speak at Carnegie Mellon University
Feb. 5 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - Carnegie Mellon University Department of Athletics and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be sponsoring an event with Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback Charlie Batch on campus Monday, February 11. Batch will speak in Skibo Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m.
The ten year veteran of the National Football League (NFL) will come to the campus of Carnegie Mellon University to speak about his experience as a player as well as talking about the Best of the Batch Foundation which was founded in 2000. The foundation was started to help give back to inner city kids in Detroit, Michigan. In 2002 he returned to Pittsburgh and redirected his foundation goals by doing what he always desired to do; give back to the community where he was raised.
The talk will have a question and answer session and is open to all Carnegie Mellon University students, faculty and staff.
