Volleyball Receives ECAC Invite

Nov. 5 – (CENTREVILLE, Mass.) – After finishing third in University Athletic Association (UAA) Tournament over the weekend, the Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team was named to the 2007 ECAC South Tournament field as announced Monday, November 5.  The Tartans will enter the eight team tournament as the third seed and will host Penn State-Altoona, Wednesday, November 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Skibo Gymnasium.

The Tartans finished the 2007 regular season with a 20-15 record. The winner of the game Wednesday will advance to the semifinals to play the winner of the New Jersey City /New York contest at the highest remaining seed's home court Saturday, November 10. The championship game will be played on Sunday.
