Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision to #5 Carthage
Oct. 27 – (SPRINGFIELD, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon women’s volleyball team competed at the final day of the Wittenberg University Tournament Saturday, October 27 and fell to #5 Carthage College 3-0 (30-21, 30-27, 30-19). Caroline Size (Lewes, Del./St. Thomas Moore Academy) record six. Sophomore setter
Samantha Carter (San Antonio, Texas/O’Connor) tallied 27 assists and added three service aces in the Tartans loss.
Divisively for the Cardinal and Gray, freshman
Cameron Griffin (Lake Forest, Ill.) had 15 digs and sophomore
Jess Brackin (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) and Size had two block assists apiece.
Carnegie Mellon will be back in action Friday and Saturday as they travel to the University of Rochester to compete in the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships beginning at 9:00 a.m. Friday.
