Tartans Volleyball Drops Four Straight at Wittenberg Fall Classic

Oct. 29 - (SPRINGFIELD, Ohio) - Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team competed at the 2005 Wittenberg Fall Classic University Saturday, October 29 in the final day of competition, as the Tartans dropped four matches over the weekend.

On Friday the Tartans were defeated by the College of Wooster 3-1 (30-25, 22-30, 30-20, 30-27) and by Alma 3-2 (26-30, 30-27, 30-28, 28-30, 15-6). On Saturday the Tartans fell twice in the first match to #23 Carthage 3-0 (30-14, 30-25, 30-21) before losing to host Wittenberg, the sixth ranked team in Division III, 3-1 (26-30, 30-22, 30-15, 30-21).

Carnegie Mellon will be back in action November 4 and 5 as they travel to Brandeis University to compete in the UAA Championships.
