Simmons Honored by UAA

Apr. 15 – (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University junior Sami Simmons (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Carnegie Mellon Tri-Meet last week.

Simmons set new school records in the triple jump and the long jump during the meet.  She won the triple jump in a school-record distance of 11.09 meters and placed third in the long jump with a distance of 5.31 meters.
