Staloch UAA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Feb. 5 – (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University senior Amy Staloch (Midland, Mich./H.H. Dow) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance this past week in leading the Tartans to a 2-0 mark.

Staloch picked up three wins in singles and doubles competition in helping the Tartans to a pair of victories to kick off the second half of the 2007-08 season.  In an 8-1 triumph over NCAA Division II and 20th-ranked Slippery Rock University, Staloch earned a 7-5, 7-5 victory at first singles, then teamed with Jennifer Chui for an 8-6 win at first doubles.   

Staloch played only first doubles in the 9-0 triumph over Penn State Behrend, teaming with Chui for an 8-1 decision.
