Hart Garners Second UAA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week Honor

Mar. 12 – (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University freshman Kelly Hart (Montecito, Calif./Santa Barbara) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance this past week.

Hart led the sixth-ranked Tartans to a 6-3 win over #18 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges Sunday afternoon.  Hart won 6-1, 6-1 over her opponent at third singles after teaming up with Ashley Herrick (Amherst, Ohio/Elyria Catholic) at second doubles to claim an 8-3 victory.

This marks the second time this season that Hart has been recognized by the UAA for her success on the courts.
