Staloch Named UAA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Feb. 27 - (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University junior Amy Staloch (Midland, Mich./H.H. Dow) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance this past week. She led the Tartans to a 9-0 victory over Association foe Case Western Reserve University.

Staloch registered victories in singles and doubles competition Saturday against the Spartans. Staloch posted a straight-set triumph at first singles, defeating Kristin Ko of Case, 6-0, 6-2, then teamed with Mona Iyer to post an 8-0 win at first doubles.

Staloch is currently 11-5 single matches and has a 10-5 overall mark in doubles play.
