#17 Women’s Tennis Back On Winning Side
Apr. 1 - (GAMBIER, Ohio) - Carnegie Mellon women's tennis, ranked 17th, traveled to Gambier, Ohio Sunday, April 1 and came away with a 7-2 victory of #27 Kenyon College. The win snaps the Tartans three match skid. Carnegie Mellon moves to 8-7 in dual matches, while Kenyon goes to 7-3.
Carnegie Mellon swept doubles play giving them a 3-0 lead heading into singles. Senior Mona Iyer’s (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) triumph over Natalie Larew marked her fifth straight victory in singles play. Iyer and teammate Amy Staloch’s (Midland, Mich./H. H. Dow) win in doubles was their fourth straight at one doubles.
