Women's Tennis Finished 2007 Ranked 19th in Nation

July 11 – (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon women's tennis team finished the 2006-2007 campaign ranked 19th nationally.  This marks the third straight season that the women’s team has finished in top 20 of Division III. 

Individually, junior Amy Staloch (Midland, Mich./H. H. Dow) was ranked eighth in singles play and Staloch and teammate senior Mona Iyer (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) were ranked ninth in doubles action.  Staloch had a 24-9 record in singles and the duo had a 22-10 mark in doubles.

The tandem was named ITA All-Americans in the fall and Staloch was honored in singles.  Staloch heading into her senior season is a six-time All-American, as Iyer finishes her career as a three-time All-American.
