Staloch UAA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Mar. 28 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Amy Staloch (Midland, Mich./H.H. Dow) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week as the Tartans competed at the Fab Five Invitational Hosted by Washington and Lee University.

Staloch posted 2-1 records at #1 singles and #1 doubles over the weekend. She defeated Alexandra Maclennan of eighth-ranked Williams College (6-2, 6-0) and Katie Miglin of 24th ranked Mary Washington (8-0) in singles competition. Amy then teamed up with Mona Iyer at #1 doubles to come away with 8-4 and 8-2 victories over Williams and Mary Washington’s top doubles tandems. Both losses came at the hands of third-ranked Amherst College.

This marks the third time this season that Staloch has been honored for her performance by the UAA.
