Mai Otsuka Honored By UAA

Oct. 11 - (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University junior Mai Otsuka (Gifu, Japan/Kimball Union Academy) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week as the Tartans competed at the Washington & Lee University Fall Festival.

Otsuka placed second in her flight winning the first two rounds in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 and 6-3, 6-4, before falling in the finals. Otsuka teamed up with Allison Liu in doubles competition as they placed third in their flight.
