Staloch and Iyer Named UAA Athlete of the Week

Mar. 7 - (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Amy Staloch (Midland, Mich./H.H. Dow) and junior Mona Iyer (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) were named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Tennis Athletes of the Week for their performance last weekend. This marks the second time this spring that they duo have earned Athlete of the Week.

Staloch and Iyer picked up two huge victories at first doubles in a two-match weekend in the South. They accounted for the lone point with a 9-8 triumph during an 8-1 loss to #2 Washington & Lee University, and then finished the weekend with an 8-6 victory in a dual meet victory (7-2) over Muhlenberg College.
