Staloch and Iyer Honored By UAA

Feb. 14 - (PITTSBURGH, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Amy Staloch (Midland, Mich./H.H. Dow) and junior Mona Iyer (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) were named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Tennis Athletes of the Week for their performance in helping the 12th ranked Tartans to a 3-0 weekend.

Staloch and Iyer teamed up to finish 3-0 at #1 doubles and posted 2-1 marks in their respective singles matches in leading the Tartans to weekend victories over #14 Denison University (5-2), host Kenyon College (5-2) and Association rival University of Chicago (5-4). In singles play, Staloch (#1 singles) and Iyer (#2 singles) each upended opponents from Denison and Chicago.
