Staloch Advances to ITA Semifinals; Earns All-American
Oct. 13 - (FORT MYERS, Fla.) - Carnegie Mellon University women’s sophomore tennis player Amy Staloch (Midland, Mich./H.H. Dow) competed in the ITA National Small College Championships at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL, Thursday, October 13. Staloch was victorious in the quarterfinals, advancing to the National Semifinal match Friday.
Staloch defeated Jaime Gaard of Gustavus Adolphus 6-1, 6-2 in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals. Staloch will face the #1 seed from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College.
With her victory in the quarterfinal round, Staloch becomes an All-American for the 2005-2006 season. This marks the second straight year that she has received All-American honors.
