Staloch Receives Invite to ITA Championships

Oct. 6 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon sophomore women’s tennis player Amy Staloch (Midland, Mich./H. H. Dow) received an At-Large singles bid to compete at the 2005 the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Small College Championships at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers October 13-16.

Staloch is one of eight players in the country to compete in the singles competition. Last year Staloch and teammate Mona Iyer were runners up at the ITA National Small College Championships. They became the first women’s tennis player or doubles team to have competed for the National Small College Championship in school history.

In 2004, Staloch finished the season with a 27-5 mark in singles competition and made it to the semifinals of NCAA Division III Championships.
