Evans Adds National Swimmer of the Week to her Resume

Record breaking performances dominated the National Collegiate Swimmer-of-the-Week (NCSW) honors as freshman
Molly Evans (Butler, Pa.) took Division III NCSW honors on the women's side. Evans joined five others that were selected based on their performances November 13 - November 19, 2007 by a panel of collegiate coaches and nominated by coaches, sports information directors, conference representatives and CollegeSwimming.com staffers.
Evans helped the Tartans women's team to three wins against Franklin & Marshall, University of Rochester, and Washington & Lee during a home quad meet on Saturday, November 17. The team won seven events and placed second in five while Evans won three different events. She improved her times in the 100 backstroke (58.55) and 200 Individual Medley (2:11.22), both new school records and NCAA “B” cut times, and also won the 200 backstroke (2:06.40).
Evans was also named University Athletic Association Women's Swimmer of the Week for the second time.
