Evans Earns UAA Honors

Molly Evans (Butler, Pa.) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for her performance over the weekend and against Division II opponent Clarion University.
Evans made her intercollegiate debut with three event wins, a pair of NCAA Division III provisional qualifying times, and a school record during the Tartans dual meet Saturday afternoon. Evans’ school record and first provisional qualifier came in the 200-yard backstroke, where her time of 2:05.71 bested the previous school record by more than seven seconds.
She posted her second provisional qualifying time in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.96) and finished the day with a win in the 200-yard individual medley, touching the wall in 2:11.92.
