Rose and Coffin Named All-Region

Dec. 21 – (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – When the NSCAA released its 2007 awards two Carnegie Mellon University student-athletes were mentioned. Senior midfielder Amanda Rose (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West) and junior forward Abby Coffin (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) were named to the NSCAA/Adidas All-Great Lakes Region team for Division III. The award is voted on by the region coaches.

Rose was honored with her first selection to the region team making the first team squad. She finished the season with 11 assists and 19 points. Coffin, also honored for the first time, was named to the third team. The forward led the team in scoring for the second time, totaling 10 goals and recording 21 points. She tallied two hat tricks during the season against Washington & Jefferson and the University of Chicago.
