Coffin Honored By UAA

Oct. 24 - (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University sophomore forward Abby Coffin (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Tartans 6-0 victory over Penn State Behrend.

Coffin recorded her first career hat trick, scoring three times in the first half in leading the Tartans to the victory over Penn State Behrend. Her first two goals came in the first 13 minutes of the game, including the opening goal at the 3:57 mark. She became just the fourth player in school history to record a hat trick.

The Tartans will be in action again on Friday, October 27 when they host University Athletic Association opponent Case Western Reserve. The game is scheduled to start at 5:00 pm.
