Rose Chosen by ECAC

Oct. 5 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Sophomore defender Amanda Rose (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West) was chosen by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Division as Player of the Week for the week closing Oct. 2. Rose was an impact player in the Tartans 1-0-1 week.

Rose came up big for the Tartans as she assisted on both goals during the Tartans 2-0 victory over the #8 ranked Maroons of Chicago and was a force defensively, both in the Chicago game and the 0-0 tie with Allegheny.

The sophomore defender kept the Maroons offensive standouts at bay and cleared any opportunities the Gators had in the middle of the week. Rose has headed a Tartans defense that has only given up one goal all season.
