Betsy Warren

Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Betsey WarrenFall of 2007 was Betsy Warren's first season as the full-time assistant coach for the Tartan women's soccer program. During the year, the Tartans defeated NCAA Championship contenders Denison University, the University of Chicago, and Penn State Behrend while falling in close matches to Washington University in St. Louis and Emory University.

Warren comes to Carnegie Mellon from Ashland University where she served as the women’s assistant coach for the past three seasons. In 2004, Warren helped coach the Eagles to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight. Prior to her stint at Ashland, she served as an assistant coach at Bryn Mawr School for Girls and Dundalk Senior High School in Maryland as well as Pulaski County High School in Virginia.

She received here undergraduate degree in social science from Radford University in 2002 and her master’s degree in sports education from Ashland in 2006. Warren was a three-year starter at Radford and a captain her senior season. During her playing days, the Highlanders won the Big South Conference tournament and regular season titles, as well as earned a trip to the NCAA Division I tournament.
