Women’s Cross Country Places 16th at Regionals

Nov. 10 – (BETHLEHEM, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon women’s cross country team wrapped up their season at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 10 and finished 16th overall with 522 points. The six kilometer race, held at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus was won by Dickinson College and their 53 points.
Junior Carolyn Clayton (Northampton, Mass.) was the top Tartan on a day when everyone on the team ran a personal best time. She crossed the line in 63rd place with a time of 23:42. Freshman Rebecca Hachey (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) was second on the team and 94th overall in 24:04 and sophomore Anna Lenhart (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) placed 111th overall (24:24).
Junior Chrissy Krutz (Natrona Heights, Pa./Shadyside Academy) was the team’s fourth place finisher in 24:46 (134th overall). Freshman Kristen Staab (Trafford, Pa./Penn Trafford) came in 145th overall in a time of 24:56.
Senior Erin Gagnon (Lebanon, N.H.) ran the course in 25:09 (157th) and freshman Laura McKee (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) crossed the finish line in 25:25 (165th).
