Tartans Take 6th at Waynesburg Invite

Oct. 15 - (WAYNESBURG, Pa.) – The women's cross country team of Carnegie Mellon finished fourth out of 14 teams at the Penn State Behrend Invitational on October 15th. Only Case Western, University of Rochester and Mt. Union finished ahead of the Tartans who totaled 89 points on the day.
Freshman Rachel Perry (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) was the top finisher for the Tartans coming in 19th place with a time of 27:04. Senior Kate Hollabaugh (Export, Pa./Penn Trafford) finished in 28:26 for 30th place with teammate Kimberly Kicielinski (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) coming in 32nd place with a time of 28:30.
The Tartan runners will next be in action on October 29 when they host the University Athletic Association Championships in Schenley Oval.
