Aleski Headlines All-UAA for Carnegie Mellon

Mar. 5 – (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Junior point guard Stacie Aleski (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) and senior guard Leah Feola (Pittsburgh, Pa./Canevin Catholic) were both named to the All-University Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Team which was announced today. The team is selected by the league’s coaches.

Aleski was named to the Second Team and is the first Carnegie Mellon University women’s player to be named to the Second Team since the 2003 season. The 5-5 junior led the team with 12.6 points per game and made 58 three-pointers with a percentage of .414, the second highest in the league. This was the second straight season Aleski averaged double figures in scoring as last year she scored 10.0 points per game. She has amassed 100 made treys for her career and currently sits third on the all-time list with 113, sixty-two behind Assistant Coach Carissa Sain.

Feola makes a repeat appearance on the Honorable Mention team after averaging 9.9 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per contest. The senior finishes her career with 771 career points and a game average of 8.7 with an average of 4.9 rebounds per contest. This season she grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds and collected a career-high seven steals in the Tartans 71-68 win over Bethany College.
