Dr. Robin West
Team Physician
Dr. West is in her fourth year as the team physician for Carnegie Mellon University Athletics. She is an Assistant Professor at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Department of Orthopaedics, Center for Sports Medicine. She is the team physician for the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team, the River Hounds Professional Soccer Club, and the assistant team physician for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In past years, she has covered the University of Pittsburgh women's basketball, women's soccer, and women's volleyball teams, as well as the George Washington University men's basketball team.
Dr. West grew up in Santa Monica, California. She graduated with a B.S. from The John Hopkins University and received her M.D. from George Washington University School of Medicine. She also did her surgical Internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at GW. She completed her training at The University of Pittsburgh with a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery, under the direction of Dr. Freddie Fu.
Dr. Jeanne Doperak
Team Physician
Dr. Doperak is in her second year as a team physician for Carnegie Mellon University Athletics. She is currently an Assistant Professor at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Department of Orthopaedics, Center for Sports Medicine and is also the team physician for Seton Hill University, St. Vincent College and assists the Greater Latrobe High School football team.
In past years, she has covered Robert Morris University, the Pittsburgh Passion, LaRoche College and North Catholic High School.
Dr. Doperak is originally from Ligonier, Pa. and graduated from Latrobe High School in 1994. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College and her D.O. from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing her Family Medicine Residency at Latrobe Hospital and her Sports Medicine Fellowship at UPMC under the direction of Dr. Tanya Hagen.
