Chris Rose
Head Athletic Trainer
Originally from Hamilton, N.Y., Chris moved to the Pittsburgh area from Central Pa. where he worked as an athletic trainer at a physical therapy clinic. During this time, Rose worked both in the clinic and at a high school. Upon his arrival in Pittsburgh, he was the Head Athletic Trainer at Point Park College. Prior to Carnegie Mellon he worked four years as the Head Athletic Trainer at LaRoche College and is now in his fourth year at Carnegie Mellon and was recently promoted to Head Athletic Trainer at Carnegie Mellon. Chris received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Cortland in New York, where he played four years of men's soccer. After completing his degree, Rose continued his education at Frostburg State University, earning his master's in human performance. While at Frostburg State he had the opportunity to work with the Washington Redskins.

Ivan Ivanov
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Originally from Bulgaria, Ivan made his way across the United States and landed in Aspen, Colorado where he lived for four years. Five years ago, he moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to attend the University of Pittsburgh where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. Ivan worked with the football team while completing his degree as well as with the University of Pittsburgh volleyball and track and field teams.
After being selected out of dozens of applicants, he had the privilege of working a year-long athletic training internship with the Pittsburgh Steelers during their Super Bowl XL Championship year. Ivan gained valuable knowledge and experience working alongside Pittsburgh’s leading orthopedic surgeons and many UPMC specialists.
Prior to Carnegie Mellon, Ivan accepted a position with UPMC at Seton Hill University and worked with the football, field hockey, women’s soccer, women’s basketball and men’s and women's lacrosse teams.
This will mark Ivan’s first year at Carnegie Mellon as an athletic trainer.
