Harvey Qualifies for Finals at NCAA Championships

Mar. 14 – (ADA, Ohio) – Junior distance runner Brian Harvey (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) of Carnegie Mellon University's men's track and field team made his way to the finals of the mile run at the 2008 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.

Harvey, who finished eighth in the mile run last year at the championships, has the second best time after the preliminaries and will join nine others in the finals on Saturday afternoon. 

Senior Eric Tang (Alhambra, Calif./Dunn School) also competed at the championships but was unable to make the finals of the 55-meter dash as he sprinted to a 6.63 finish.
