Harvey and Tang to Compete at the 2008 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

Brian Harvey (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) and senior
Eric Tang (Alhambra, Calif./Dunn School) have qualified for the 2008 NCAA Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championships to be held March 14-15 at Ohio Northern University. Harvey will compete in the one mile event and Tang in the 55 meter dash.
Harvey placed first at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships this past weekend in the one mile with a time of 4:15.82. Earlier this season he crossed the finish line with a personal best time of 4:12.67, breaking his own school record. This will mark the second straight appearance for Harvey at the NCAA Indoor Championships as he claimed All-American status last season placing eighth.
Tang broke the school record in the 55 meter dash this past weekend at the UAA Championships with a time of 6.38 seconds placing first. This marks the first time that Tang will participate at the NCAA indoor Championships.
The one mile preliminaries are set for 5:00 p.m. Friday with the finals to begin at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 15. The 55 meter dash preliminaries are set for 6:25 p.m. Friday with the finals to begin at 3:35 p.m., Saturday.
