Quinn Places Second at Men’s Track and Field NCAA Championships

May 26 – (OSHKOSH, Wis.) – Senior Davey Quinn (Glen Ellyn, Ill./St. Francis Prep) of the Carnegie Mellon men’s track & field team placed second in the 1500 meter race at the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Division III Track and Field Championships Saturday, May 26 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on the campus of UW-Oshkosh.

Quinn crossed the finish line with a time of 3:54.49 placing him second. His time was 1.36 seconds behind Will Leer of Pomona-Pitzer. Sophomore Brian Harvey (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) also ran in the 1500 on Saturday afternoon placing ninth with a time of 3:56.86.

With the second place finish Quinn earned All-America status marking the first Tartan to earn an All-American in outdoor competition since the 2005 season.
