Brian Harvey (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) became the first male indoor track and field athlete at Carnegie Mellon to earn All-America status with an eighth place finish in the mile run at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Harvey bettered his preliminary and school record time by .08 seconds to finish his storied indoor season with a 4:13.26 mile run. By finishing eighth out of ten runners, he earned All-America recognition.
By Harvey scoring in the finals, Carnegie Mellon earned a point in the team category to finish tied for 52nd.
