Nemerov Honored by UAA

Feb. 12 – (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University freshman Alex Nemerov (Lake Forest, Ill.) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance this past week in leading the Tartans to a pair of 9-0 shutout victories.

Nemerov posted back-to-back victories in singles and doubles competition. Against NCAA Division II West Virginia Wesleyan University, Nemerov posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles, then teamed with Yiran Liu to post an 8-2 triumph at third doubles.

Against Division I Robert Morris University, he came away with a 6-3, 6-1 win at third singles and teamed with Ravi Raghavan for an 8-3 victory at third doubles.
