#17 Men's Tennis Hands Grove City a 9-0 Setback

Apr. 7 – (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis hosted Grove City College on the courts at Carnegie Mellon Monday afternoon, April 7.  The Cardinal and Gray handed the Wolverines a 9-0 setback.  The win improves Carnegie Mellon’s dual record to 13-6, as Grove City drops to 10-5.

The Tartans opened the match sweeping doubles play and carried their momentum into singles competition where they won four of the six matches in straight sets.

6. Spencer Svetcov (CMU) def. Marc Mentzer (GRO) 6-1, 3-6, 10-6

Doubles:
1. Ljuboja/James Muliawan (CMU) def. Moyer/Peter Davis (GRO) 8-1
2. Yiran Liu/ MacTaggart (CMU) def. Garrett/Kyle Johnson (GRO) 8-1
3. Jon Spero/Svetcov (CMU) def. Dwyer/Bill DeRocha (GRO) 8-4

The Tartans will be back in action Friday, April 11, as they play in the first day of the GLCA Tournament held in Wooster, Ohio.
