Tartans Men's Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team

Aug. 23 – (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon men's tennis team was given All-Academic distinction by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). This marks the fourth straight year the men's team has been honored.

Three student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2006-07 season. Andrew Clearfield (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna), Jordan Koslosky (Shavertown, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) and Stephen Kuhn (Evansville, Ind./W.H. Harrison) each earned the honor for the second straight year. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must have at least a 3.50 GPA and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

Both Clearfield and Kuhn return for their senior seasons in 2007 while Koslosky graduated from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business in May.
