Men’s Tennis Player Muliawan Receives UAA Recognition

Apr. 4 - (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University freshmen James Muliawan (Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance in leading the Tartans to a 2-0 week.

Muliawan posted a pair of wins at first singles as the Tartans registered road victories over 19th-ranked Denison University (5-4) and 23rd-ranked Kenyon College (5-4). Muliawan tallied a come-from-behind triumph in his match against Denison (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) before following with a 6-1, 6-3 triumph the following day versus Kenyon.
