#14 Men’s Tennis Pulls Out 5-4 Thriller Over #19 Denison

Mar. 28 - (GRANVILLE, Ohio) - Carnegie Mellon men's tennis, ranked 14th in Division III, traveled to Greenville, Ohio Wednesday, March 28, and came away with a 5-4 victory over #19 Denison University on their inside courts. The Tartans winners of four straight up their dual match record 14-3, as the Big Red even their mark at 4-4.

After dropping all three matches in doubles play, the Tartans found themselves trailing the Big Red 4-1 heading down the stretch. Carnegie Mellon stepped up their play to win the last four matches to prevail with the 5-4 victory. The outcome came down to senior Jordan Koslosky’s (Shavertown, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) match. With all results in and the score was knotted at four apiece, Koslosky's match was the deciding factor as he defeated Charlie Poe in straight sets (6-4, 6-3) to secure the Tartan victory.

Carnegie Mellon will be back in action Sunday, April 1 as they travel to Kenyon. The match is set to start at 12:00 p.m.
