Carnegie Mellon’s Men’s Tennis Program Earns Academic Honors

Aug. 15 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team was honored as an NCAA Division III All-Academic Team with five individual players honored. The Tartans had a team GPA of 3.56, well above the 3.2 mark needed to qualify.

Carl Yang (Plano, Texas/Plano West), a 2006 graduate, seniors Jordan Koslosky (Shavertown, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) and Dan Munoz (Fargo, N.D./Fargo North), juniors Andrew Clearfield (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna) and Stephen Kuhn (Evansville, Ill./W.H. Harrison) all were honored with individual National ITA Scholar-Athlete awards. To qualify as a National Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.5 or better.

The Tartans will open up their 2006-2007 season September 16 when they compete in the Allegheny College Invitational.
