Men’s Tennis Players Place 7th at ITA’s

Oct. 13 - (SALISBURY, Md.) - Carnegie Mellon men’s tennis team had two players at the ITA National Small College Championships at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL, Friday, October 13. The doubles pair of freshmen Nikola Ljuboja (Highland Park, Ill.) and James Muliawan (Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo) finished the championships inn seventh place.

Ljuboja and Muliawan were defeated by the second seed duo from Emory University, Michael Goodwin and Michael Kaufman, 6-1, 6-4 before winning the seventh place match. The tandem defeated Thanos Kantarelis and Eric Hansen of the University of Rochester (7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-2) to place seventh.
