Men's Tennis Ranked 22nd in Nation
Nov. 12 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - After making back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances, the Carnegie mellon men's tennis team garnered their highest national team ranking in the program's history. The Tartans are ranked 22nd in the Fall National Rankings and fifth in the Southeast Region. The top seven teams in the region when year-end regional rankings are announced qualify for the NCAA tournament.
Individually, freshman Yiran Liu (Rockville, Md./Wootton) is ranked 21st in the region for singles and sophomore Andrew Clearfield (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna) is 25th. The duo of Liu and junior Jordan Koslosky (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) rank eighth in doubles, while teammates Carl Yang (Plano, Texas/Plano West) and Stephen Kuhn (Evansville, Ind./W. H. Harrison) are ranked 15th.
Carnegie Mellon will open their spring season February 10-12, as they travel to Kenyon College in a tri-match against Kenyon, Chicago and Denison.
