Andrew Clearfield Honored By UAA

Feb. 14 - (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Andrew Clearfield (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance this past weekend.

Clearfield went undefeated in singles play and posted a 2-1 mark at doubles during a three-match weekend in Ohio. Playing #2 singles, Clearfield posted straight-set victories over opponents from Denison University (6-1, 6-2) and host Kenyon College (6-1, 7-6), then rallied for a 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Sasha Deriy of the University of Chicago. He teamed with Dan Munoz at #3 doubles, registering wins over Denison and Kenyon.
