Three Men’s Soccer Athletes Named All-UAA

Nov. 9 – (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – The Carnegie Mellon University Tartans had three players named to the men’s soccer All-University Athletic Association team which was announced Friday. Sophomores Jonathan Hall (Venetia, Pa./Peters Twp.) and Ryan Browne (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) made their second appearance while Ricky Griffin (Hastings, N.Y.) got his first nod.

Hall, named to the second team, led the Tartans midfield scoring five goals. He twice had multi-goal games and scored the game-winner against Westminster and La Roche. Hall was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team.

Browne, also a midfielder, was lauded with his second honorable mention accolade. Browne totaled three goals and five assists for Carnegie Mellon. Griffin also earned honorable mention status and led the Tartans with 12 goals scored and five assists. Like Hall, Griffin earned academic notoriety with a second team distinction.
