Jonathan Browne Earns UAA Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week Honors

Nov. 14 - (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University senior forward and all-time career point and goals leader Jonathan Browne (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for his performance in the ECAC Men's Soccer South Championships.

Browne tallied six goals over three games en route to Most Outstanding Player honors in helping the Tartans capture the ECAC South Championship. Browne scored twice in a 3-0 win over Westminster College (PA) in the opening round, scored the opening goal in a 3-0 semifinal win over Alvernia College, and tallied the game’s first three goals in the opening 16 minutes of a 4-1 triumph over Gettysburg College in the title game.

Carnegie Mellon University ended the 2006 season with an overall mark of 14-5-0.
