Carnegie Mellon’s Bazin Earns UAA Men’s Soccer Goaltender of the Week Honors
Oct. 10 - (ROCHESTER, N.Y.) Carnegie Mellon University sophomore goaltender Matthew Bazin (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Delbarton) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Goaltender of the Week for his performance last week.
Bazin recorded his second and third shutout of the season as the Tartans posted a 2-0 week with wins over Washington & Jefferson College (5-0) and Westminster College (2-0). Bazin recorded a total of six saves in the two games, moving into sixth-place in the Tartans’ record book with 13 career shutouts.
Carnegie Mellon will be back in action Tuesday, September 12, as they head to Grove City for a 4:00 p.m. tilt.
